I think often on the power of the Camino to Inspire us and Transform our lives. The camino always shares and gives us just what we need. We all may have different expectations, dreams and desires for what our camino experience will be but it always guides us to experience more of ourselves, share in special times with others and enjoy the beauty of nature and the world around us – we keep forever in our hearts, minds, spirits and our bodies the essence of the camimo as we continue our journey in life! Rexistro 108 Vilei – Pilgrim Picture Time!
The sun is finally shining in Galicia – two days in a row – and it is absolutely beautiful! Spring has arrived late this year but the grass is green and the flowers are blooming welcoming all the peregrinos as they make their journey Along THE WAY!
German Limeres will begin to take pictures at his historic family country house in Vilei (108 KM to Santiago) just next to Barbadelo – 3 KM from Sarria just after you pass through a beautiful and magical forest one of the most special along the French Camino. German began his creative pilgrim photography project in August 2011 and I met him just a couple weeks later in September 2011 and began documenting in video and photos his experience with the pilgrims.
If you are doing the French Camino we would love to take your picture and capture your thoughts of the camino on video. We usually go on the weekends so if you know when you will be passing through Sarria and onto Vilei please let us know. It would be wonderful to include you in German’s Rexistro 108 Vilei (register of pilgrims) and our Global Pilgrims Project capturing the faces and experiences of pilgrims on the camino.

The Camino de Santiago is one of the 20 most beautiful hiking trails in the world, according to the Outdoor German publication specializing in travel and adventure. The reports, which decican the cover and the centerfold in the January, a detailed description of the road, its history and the reasons that lead the pilgrims to cross it, according to the regional government in a statement. Outdoor information also gives useful information such as recommendations before starting the road, like getting accreditations or answer questions on the German website jakobspilgerwege.de.

Camino Angels!
It was a year ago this week, May 4, 2012 when I began my second camino starting in Lugo, where I am living, and taking the train across the north top of Spain to Pamplona, then on by bus to Roncesvalles, with my german pilgrim friend Sabine Wolf, whom we had met the year before during my first camino from O Cebreiro in the fall of 2011.
The beginning was marked by many interesting and fun signs and a very special gift of this picture a creative new design given to me by my friend Anna Maria Lopez who is a very talented graphic designer. It was the perfect gift and symbol for my Camino! Thank you Anna! Wishing you all a wonderful camino journey as you Follow Your Own Way To The Stars!!!
1st Camino Film & Television Festival – June 2013!
It is an exciting time in Santiago de Compostela. The sun has been shining and many smiling pilgrims are arriving celebrating their camino journey! Pilgrims and tourists arriving during June 3 – 7, 2013 (monday through friday) will have the opportunity to experience something very special, new and unique – the 1st Festival de Cine y Television Camino de Santiago!
The Film and Television Festival Camino de Santiago is focused on sharing an unprecedented commitment to Spanish films and a special exchange with their creators. The festival will include an official competition section with Spanish and other films on the camino. The festival event will give honorable mention to actors in both film and television series of special relevance.
We hope to see you and share with you this very special event if you are making your camino journey during June 3 – 7, 2013! We hope you can join us for some film and television festival fun!

It has been a pleasure and most memorable experience to connect with pilgrims along the camino and especially in Santiago upon their arrival and completion of their journey of the Field of Stars.

The time we shared together before I had experienced my own camino was incredibly special for me. Sometimes you meet a person and you feel as if you have known them for a long time. It was just this way with you and I feel very blessed to have met you and have you as a friend.

I can only imagine how special it is to experience the camino with family as you did with your father and brother. Also, I think how special it was that you met so many people from so many different countries that you shared the entire camino experience with from beginning to end. It is the camino and the people we share the time with that makes each camino unique and special unto its own – always encouraging us to experience it again!
