The Camino provides us many gifts and is a powerful connector in bringing people together from around the world sharing their passion for pilgrimage and their life purposes that inspire, heal and transform us all. It is a very special pleasure of mine to share with you Green Beautiful Foundation and their CAMINO JOURNEYS taking place right now with Sharon Bele-Verdy, Muriel Wattinne, and Agosto Tarantino who are making their way together with pilgrims in the Camino from Sarria to Santiago and on to Finisterre – Having begun in St. Jean Pied De Port they continue together with pilgrims in Galicia Along The Way! Please join us online and on the Camino – Bo Camiño!!!

Sarria, Spain – November 8, 2015 – Sometimes all it takes for positive change is to simply put one foot in front of the other…

From November 8th to the 22nd 2015, the Green Beautiful Foundation is leading Rise & Walk Camino in northern Spain from Sarria to Finisterre via Santiago de Compostella. The Green Beautiful team is currently in Spain on the Camino trail preparing for this global environmental awareness walk.

The aim is to increase awareness about the rampant deforestation of tropical forests all over the world, particularly in Borneo that are being devastatingly logged. The Dayaks, the indigenous inhabitants of Borneo, as well as orangutans and other native species are losing their habitat…forever! We all risk losing these beautiful, rare and priceless species and peoples.

The Green Beautiful Foundation is a gathering of people who seek positive change and protection for the fragile and endangered areas of the Earth. Every year they organize walks globally to raise awareness and funds for various initiatives. Their current focus is the forests, orangutans and indigenous Dayak tribes of Borneo where we have purchased land to preserve this sacred area.
